About this list
A few Warsaw places need no membership, booking or club card. Kawiarnia Przystań on Bulwar Flotylli Pińskiej opens its tables to chess players every Saturday afternoon through the colder months, and solving a chess problem there earns a discount. On Sunday evenings a meeting on ul. Mazowiecka 12, organised by Fundacja Inicjatyw Niebanalnych, welcomes beginners and seasoned tournament players alike.
The Chess Connects Generations tournaments at the CLX high school on ul. Siemieńskiego in Ochota were open to players of all ages. In Praga-Południe, Skaryszewski Park got two chess tables with seats from the citizens’ budget of 2020, set out for anyone passing through the park. Most clubs and café tournaments ask for a sign-up, and their entries say so.
